Pastor Jimmie R. Gibson
Pastor Jimmie Gibson was born and raised in Washington, DC. He is married to the former Linda Franks. They have 4 grown children (Jamea, Jina, Morgan, and Eric), 10 grandchildren (RaHeen, X’Drian, Maria, Kaliah, Bo, Chloe, Aniyah, TJ, Jaxon, and Noa), 2 bonus grands (Zeke and Dee and bonus great-granddaughter Reina).
Pastor Gibson received his call to ministry in 1990 while doing prison ministry in Northern California. He has spent the majority of his ministry in Youth and Children Ministries. During that time he’s served in youth Sabbath School, AYS Leader, and Youth Pastor.
Pastor Gibson has also taught at Takoma Academy and DC Publiç schools for a total of ten years.
Before being assigned to MZMS he served at the Germantown SDA Church in Philadelphia. Pastor Gibson is in the process of completing his Master’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry. He loves God and serving people. His goal is “Leading as many people as he can to an intimate and personal relationship with Christ”
